Low Back and Knee Pain

IMG_4896_1.JPGWhen I had an injury a few years ago, I waited for my back to heal on its own. I was still in pain after a month so I decided to make an appointment with Dr.Krieger. After a thorough analysis of the injury, Dr.Krieger explained to me what was causing the pain and planned a course of therapy and adjustments. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and expertise. After attending Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic bi-weekly for a while, I was able to reduce the number of visits to a weekly,  bi- monthly and then monthly basis. I have decided along with Dr. Krieger's recommendations to continue once a month as I felt this was important to maintain the progress I had made. Various times since then, I have experienced problems with my knees and shoulder. Dr.Krieger addressed these areas also. I feel this is noteworthy; what could have become major problem areas have been avoided by being proactive. Regular adjustments and Dr.Krieger's instruction and recommendations for home exercises helped speed the healing process. In addition to feeling physically better, but no less important to me, I appreciate the atmosphere Dr.Krieger creates in his office; caring, open and friendly. Appointments are accommodating and easy to schedule. I highly recommend Dr.Krieger's services. Florence Behr, Harrison,NY

Low Back Pain and Herniated Discs

IMG_4897___Copy_1.JPGPeople under estimate how important the condition of their spine is to them. As someone who has been a patient of chiropractic care for most of my life, beginning from routine adjustments when I was young to a sprained and strained back caused by too heavy a backpack when I was in my early teens, to a herniated disc in my twenties. While Dr.Krieger's has only treated my herniated disc, Dr.Krieger's quality of care has been most beneficial. He has taught me how important maintenance care is when dealing with an injury such as a herniated disc. As a massage therapist, body mechanics plays a crucial role in my day to day business as well as my overall health. Without Dr.Krieger's attention I don't think I would be able to provide the level of service I do.  Erin Broderick, L.M.T.  Mamaroneck,NY

Chronic Neck and Shoulder Pain

IMG_5349_1_1.JPGI had severe pain in my right arm and shoulder radiating down the whole arm. I chose chiropractic because I am a breast cancer survivor (right side) and cannot get shots of any kind in my right arm. Dr. Krieger diagnosed my problem as an impingement and with great care and patience got me back to normal. I can even blow dry my hair again! He also has corrected many years of an ongoing neck problem. He is the best!

Low Back and Shoulder Pain

IMG_4910_1.JPGMy first experience with chiropractic treatment was after a bad fall off a horse many years ago. Chiropractic adjustments had me back on my feet very quickly. I continue chiropractic care today at Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic with Dr.Glenn Krieger to treat those "minor" aches and pains and maintain flexability. Sue Levin, New Rochelle, NY

Sports Injuries

IMG_4933_1.pngI have been a patient of Dr.Krieger's of Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic for about two and a half years. When you hear about chiropractic care you usually associate it with back and neck pain. Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic is about so much more than that. I originally went to see Dr.Krieger for a problem with my elbow. Since then he has also treated my foot and hamstring and quadricep muscles. Dr.Krieger has also given me neck and back adjustments. I am a very active person and I also work in the fitness industry. It is important to me to maintain a high level of mobility and physicial fitness. My visits to Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic and Dr.Krieger have helped me to do this. I have, and would recommend Dr.Krieger to anyone seeking chiropractic care.

Neck Pain and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

I hesitated for a while but I was in a lot of pain so I got daring and called.Dr. Krieger helped me to get out of pain and to gain mobility. He has also given me total confidence in his great skills in Chiropractic care.

Couldn't Walk or Stand up Straight

IMG_4899_1.JPGIn 2008, while enjoying a late summer, backyard barbeque at my cousins' house, I decided to do some back flips into the pool. It was something I had done before, (though I admit, the last time I did so was in high school). I did not stop at just one, no too simple, I went on to do four more!
On the last one, I fearlessly walked to the edge of the plank and gave my back to the cheering audience. I went into my launch routine; crouched down as if to sit, whipped my arms over head as I pushed hard with my legs. In midair, I had tucked my knees high into my chest as I used my hands to keep myself rolled up into a ball-that's when I felt the snap and saw the stars flash before my eyes as I splashed down into the water. The pain was excruciating. It was quite unnerving, when I had to be rescued by my wife and cousin. I could barely lift myself out of the water. By evening the pain would still not let me stand up straight. I was not exactly sure of what to expect, but I was hopeful that chiropractic care would be the key to my recovery or at the very least, a decent night sleep.

I sought Dr. Glenn Krieger and met with him the next day. He was not judgmental when I told him of my antics and seemed genuine(as opposed to pompous) when he smiled and said, "Life happens, that's why I'm here to help." Not only did Dr. Krieger expertly figure out that my spine was out of alignment and performed corrective manipulation, but he also administered comprehensive treatment by combining electrical stimulation and incorporating a regiment of stretching techniques along with exercises to strengthen my lower back muscles. Soon, I was feeling young again-within reason of course!  Tommy C., Harrison, NY

Upper Back Pain

IMG_4927__2__1.JPGFor quite a few years I suffered from back spasms, pinched nerves and general aches and pains from wear and tear in my life, as well as sports injuries. I used to go the way of taking Tylenol and just ignoring it, but a little over a year ago it got too bad to let it go on. I ended up with this terrible twisting-feeling pain in the upper portion of my back. Nothing I did made the pain stop. My husband finally convinced me to try his chiropractor. Dr.Krieger has helped me immensely. Through electric stimulation and other modalities along with regular adjustments, once to twice a week, the pain is kept in check. Not to mention overall my body feels much better!

Neck Pain, Herniated Disc and Arm Numbness

IMG_4917_1.JPGI came to Dr.Krieger a little over a year ago, with a small herniated disc in my neck, which was causing several other issues(i.e. numbness in a few of my fingers, and my shoulders kept locking up) and a history of lower pack pain. Through the use of electric stimulation, adjustments and a regular routine of strengthening exercises(Dr.Krieger has gym equipment on site, which I love) my overall pain has subsided greatly. I really appreciate the care he has given me. Keith S., Harrison,NY

Pregnancy and Low Back Pain

After giving birth to my daughter, I had been suffering from apain in my lower back. Every time I would sit or stand, it would hurt so much that I had to support myself with both hands. Doctors would heat the problem area, ice it, massage it but nothing worked. Then by coincidence, I found Dr.Krieger of Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic. To my surprise, the pain was gone after the first treatment!
I feel comfortable going to Dr.Krieger's office because first of all, Dr.Krieger's is very clear with his procedures. It was interesting to see the X-rays of your neck and back. You could actually see what the problem was and gives you a better understanding of why you need to be treated even after the pain has gone away. Not only that, Dr.Krieger will guide you on how to build up your muscles to help keep the bones in the correct position.
The office has a very friendly atmosphere and even my daughter , who is still five years old, enjoys coming with me to chat with Dr.Krieger. I feel at ease asking Dr.Krieger for his advice on how to stretch or tone up your muscles, even if it isn't directly related to your problem area.
I no longer have the back pains and not only that, even my shoulders are not stiff. I used to go for a message every so often, but amazingly, I have no need for it anymore. Thanks to Dr.Krieger of Sound Sports & Family Chiropractic, I feel stronger and healthier.I fell better
than I used to feel in my twenties!

Low Back Pain

I first became a patient in July 2009. I had significant lower back pain. When I came to Dr.Krieger,  the office was very professional, organized, efficient, friendly and curtious. Dr.Krieger explained everything thoroughly and was very competent. After a few months I am essentially pain free. I especially loved the Spinal Decompresssion Therapy and it did the trick. An added benefit is the instructions on stretching and strengthening for future progress. My back is so much more flexible and stronger and I can perform daily routines without thinking about it. I can sit and sleep better and I am not struggling with stiffness or pain when I get up in the morning.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "I was very impressed with the chiropractic care I received from Dr. Anderson. I had received chiropractic in the past for my neck pain, but not to this level of care. After only a few sessions, my symptoms began to disappear, especially my neck pain, and I know I would not have been able to perform to my everyday work functions without the treatment I received."
